Too innocent to love
Too innocent to see
I never open up the person inside me

The beauty of a new born
fades inside of me
Darkness seeps into my skin
As corruption breeds

With every new wash, new innocence will bleed
An agony so painful,
it cannot be seen
The emptiness inside is free,
it takes control of me

Save me from what I have done,
burn my sins into the sun

The echoes of infancy shriek out in pain
As I sit alone and cry in shame
A tortured soul among the rest
Confused and lost with much distress

I search each day for a light
That’s hidden somewhere beyond my sight
But I will let this light be seen
Since deep within this twisted soul
Lies innocence and dreams
